60 Day Challenge, The Second Time Around
70An Oldie but a goodie
60 Day Challenge
The first 60 day challenge, I didn't know I wasn't up to it. My life was a mess, it was the first time in my life ever dealing with unemployment. I was so desperate to find my way out of the hole that I sent myself into a real panic state. They say something about "if you can keep your head when all those around you are losing theirs," well I couldn't. The funniest part is that for years I could have given you the exact quote. Not anymore, I don't remember it now.
I learned a lot from the first challenge, namely that these people in the 60 Day Challenge were there for me, even when I couldn't be counted on due to my own problems. They stood by me and encouraged me, and gave no recriminations when I was not up to the task. For those of you that are new to the challenge, you have gotten in with the most unique group of Hubbers you will ever encounter. I know there are others who are great, but this is a team, they are here for you for the long haul, with a single goal.
"When we work together, we all benefit."
My Goals
New Challenge, New Goals!
My number one goal this time is to FOCUS. To be a part of the team. Last time I got lost because of so much e-mail! I missed some crucial updates. I have to stop my other on line endeavors to make money. That's what got me overwhelmed last time around, I had too many irons in the fire. MSN has a new sweep tool that allows you to mark future e-mails from a sender to designated folders. I have solved my E-mail clutter problem.
My second goal this time is to set a schedule and make this my full time job. I know that if I set aside time that is just for Hub Pages and nothing else, I will become successful.
My third goal is to learn to value my own writing. I have grown so dependent on the comments of others to make me feel like a "worthy" hubber. When I would see that I had many visits but no comments, I felt deflated, as if I hadn't done my job as a writer. I am a big kid now. If I am getting traffic then I shouldn't be worried about why I am not getting comments.
My fourth goal is to make my first payout. I thought that I had to sell items to do that and rules I read were that you couldn't review something you didn't own. Well, while that may be true, I was looking at it all wrong. There are many things I own, as well as services I use, that I haven't even tried to write a review for.
My writing is important to me, and I have the skills I need to be successful. I just don't know enough about marketing those skills. I will share what I have learned, and hopefully I will learn more. I have a special tweak to share with the team this time around, a discovery I made by accident, I hope will benefit team members.

60 Day Product and Service Reviews
This Time
I was so unclear as to what my goals were last time, and I didn't even know what I was going to write about. I knew I had "lots of ideas" and "boundless inspiration" but for a challenge like this eagerness to participate and scattered dreams are not going to help me to succeed. I was afraid to set any concrete hopes as I didn't believe in myself, didn't think I could achieve them.
This time I know what I want and I know what I am going to do to achieve it.

Welcome to the challenge Faybe! I wish you the best with your goals! I'll be interested in reading your human trafficking hubs... I was thinking about fitting something about that in a few of mine as well. Most people don't realize that we have a problem with that here in America. Glad to have you on board!
Hello Faybe! and welcome to the challenge. I am a new participant this time around and I am looking forward to working with everyone.
The hub above was very interesting so you have no worries about your writing abilities. Hope to meet you in the forums and look forward to reading your hubs
Terrific hub, Faybe! Looking forward to reading all 60. I like the way you've got the topics organized. I have a list on a yellow legal pad of future hubs. I might just commit to the new 60-day challenge, myself! I know you'll reach payout and start seeing a return on the investment of your time!
Good luck with your 60 challenge as I'm sure you will do well....shout if you need any help!!!!
Once again good luck with it!
Faybe, hi, I am cheering you up, if any just email me and ask anything, I hope you get your fist payout soonest Mam, Take care, Maita
Welcome aboard and I am so glad that you decided to participate. I am sure this challenge would be successful to you and don't hesitate to ask for help on anything, remember we are a team. Wish you all the success!!!
Hey Faybe Bay, a very nicely written and goal oriented hub log. I guess we get to see how well you do and help you to accomplish your goals. It's going to be quite interesting and a little bit a fun on the journey. So, like we both said on my hub log- let's go wrestle the traffic into submission! LOL! It's nice to see you try again and I'm glad you to see you know your first mistakes, so as to not make them again, and with the support of the group...you shouldn't have a problem. :)
Hi Faybe Bay thanks for posting your advice on my 60dc hub. I'm looking forward to reading more of your hubs as well!
Great job Faybe in outlining your goals, the reason why so many fail to reach their goals is because they never write them down. I am looking forward to working with you during this challenge. Best wishes, I'm pulling for you! :)
Congratulations on the Human Trafficking focus. Very needed.
Faybe Bay, The new 60DC team has some very awesome accomplished people on it that I know you and I will learn a lot. Faybe, my life is always in a hole! With 5 grown and married kids and grandkids and soon to be great grand daughter, there is never a dull moment. My husband lost his job 18 months ago and it seems no one wants a 60 year old engineer.Oh well, life goes on and we just keep one foot in front of the other. When one door closes another opens.
I know from what we learned from the last challenge and what we are going to learn this time, we are on the right track. We are surrounded by some pretty awesome people.
Good-Luck on getting those 30 hubs launched and on achieving your goals!
I have also added your hub-log to my hub-log.
I look forward to reading your hubs - lots of different and insightful topics there and learning the ropes of this writing caper with you.
I am trying to catch up on the 60dc hub logs as i kind of got a late start on the challenge. But, I am so excited to see another PETA person on the team! I look forward to working on the 60dc team together and learning all that we can!

Hi Faybe! I loved your comment on my Hublog. Thank you so much! Haha, it'll be fun working with you on this challenge.
Losing a job is tough, one of the most stressful things any person can go through.
I am glad to hear that you are giving the challenge a second chance. There are a lot of great people to learn from, and I think that if you take a step back, just take one day at a time, or even a couple hours at a time, and focus on what you need to do for that particular day, you will find that you have all the skills necessary to do what you need to do.
The biggest thing to remember is that nothing is unfixable. Just because you publish a hub doesn't mean you can't correct, change, or reorder it. Go for it! :)
I'm sure we'll all do well. Good luck
I'm rootin fer ya... good luck on your challenge!!!
Faybe you remind me so much of myself. I'm recently unemployed as well. You will do it this time for sure! I'm here for support if you need me. :)
Faybe, I am looking forward to reading your hubs on human trafficing. This is one of those subjects that after you read about, puts everything in perspective. Maybe our problems aren't so bad... glad you decided to join.
Good luck in all that you are doing Faybe, I am sure you will make it this time. There are a couple of us this time around in the challenge who have just lost jobs also, it is a very stressful time.
You are going to be fine, Faybe - just keep plugging away and things will fall in to place. You write well, so success will follow - it is just a matter of confidence, something that increases with practice. The more you write, the easier it becomes :)
Bless your heart. Give it your best shot. And keep your options open in the offline world.
Good luck for 60DC challenge.see ya arround :)
..well 60 days with you would be like the 600 best days of my life!!!!!

Faybe, you will do it this time! I just know you will and we are all here to support each other. I've never even completed the 30 day challenge, but I just know I'm going to get this one done - this is the push I needed! Great hub. It will be inspiring to others :)
