What can I say?
As a Hub Pages writer I must say something about human trafficking and sexual child abuse. I must use a certain amount of words in order for the Google bots to crawl this page and put up ads on it. If I don't the whole hub will be flagged as sub-standard.
Human trafficking and sexual child abuse are global problems that are not going to just go away.
I have written three hubs on this subject and many of the other writers here have done the same. There are nearly four hundred of them but I don't know how to make an RSS feed for that so if anyone does, please do and send it to me so I can add it here.
Technically there is a lot I would love to be able to say here. We can make a difference, we can change things... Sadly the best I can do is tell you that the problem is here, it is global, it is happening right now in your neighborhood, in your town, even on your street.
I don't know how much more blunt I can be. If we don't do something to stop this we have no future, and we don't deserve one.

Child Sexual Abuse Statistics
The statistics that follow were copied from Darkness to Light:
The statistics are shocking
- 1 in 4 girls is sexually abused before the age of 18. (96)
- 1 in 6 boys is sexually abused before the age of 18. (96)
- 1 in 5 children are solicited sexually while on the internet. (30, 87)
- Nearly 70% of all reported sexual assaults (including assaults on adults) occur to children ages 17 and under. (76)
- An estimated 39 million survivors of childhood sexual abuse exist in America today.(1)
While these statistics are shocking, they are only an estimate, as many cases go unreported. I don't need to tell you that. One in 5 of you (average) was sexually abused, or is now. Have you told? Probably not...
Facebook Causes
I was approached by a friend to join a cause on Facebook, and now, I am asking you here to join it too. Here's what's going on.
Facebook has just recently celebrated the milestone of 500 million members. That's amazing. Only 30,000 or so of those members belong to this cause. That has me thinking, what if the cause garnered all 500 million Facebook members. What kind of message would that send to our respective countries who turn a blind eye to the human trafficking going on in their cities. What if, somehow, we could use our contacts on Facebook to bring about a worldwide awakening.

Okay, so lets get this out in the news and in their faces. Please, join a cause and be heard. I mean, if a dog can rescue a dog, why can't humanity rescue it's own children?

I agree, someone asked me when it's a good time to tell your kids, I said before it happens! My granddaughter is two and we are explaining in no uncertain terms that her body is hers.

Such an important subject. We spend about 6 billion a year on missing and exploited children. We spend 27 billion a year on pets.

Hi Pinky Joanne,I hope I am not reading your comment wrong, if you mean we should get away from where it is happening, then you didn't understand the article. You see, it isn't in any one country or republic, it is all over the world. I hope you understand that the sexual child abuse and human trafficking is a global problem, it is happening EVERYWHERE. If it can happen in Atlanta, Georgia, and Toledo, Ohio, then it is happening in every city, state, and country in the world. Do not think you can move away from it, or hide from it, or ignore it and it will go away. Wherever there are people, there is slavery. We have to see it, identify it, face it, and abolish it. We need strict laws that punish the offenders. We need those laws to be enacted globally.
Humans are not cruel only with the animals .....! So many questions come to my mind: The cruelty is part of us? Cruelty is increasing? Has a social cause? The cruelty can be stopped? What is the moral of these cruelty humans?
My belief is that everyone in his little world, in his city, his street must opened their eyes and refuse certain things. In this way the cruelty will have a great enemy!
Yes Fucsia that is right, we must face the cruelty head on. We must become the enemy of cruelty. I am sorry that you apparently did not know, and I made you aware, but awareness is the first key to finding a solution. You have a big heart and should think of ways to spread love and kindness. These are the only way to fight cruelty.
Without a doubt, what Ralwus said about this being a very important topic that not nearly enough people are aware of. It's always a sad state when other human beings become nothing more than pawns in the games and ploys of others. Truly sad, but well done hub.

Thank~you for sharing my work with others. Yes, we can do this! WE CAN raise pro~active awareness about child sex trafficking, human trafficking, and childhood sexual abuse. When you boil it all down to the plain and simple truth: There is NO excuse for sexual abuse!!!!! When I say Pro~active awareness I mean: Learn, Educate your kids, and act like a leader in your community on this issue! Pimps, John's, traffickers, child murderers, and sexual predators all know all the ways our kids think in order to lure them into their traps. Don't you think it's about time we educated ourselves to this REAL issue today???? You kid could be stolen, raped, or killed tomorrow and guess what????? It could have been prevented! Educate yourself today!
